The Office of the Victims’ Commissioner is reviewing victims’ rights in Queensland to ensure they reflect victims’ needs. It is the first time victims’ rights have been reviewed since being introduced in 2017.
“A lot has changed since 2017, and the LNP is putting the rights of victims before the rights of offenders. I encourage everyone to have their say,” says Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause.
A short, plain English consultation paper is now available, as well as an Easy English paper, to help all Queenslanders take part in this important review.
Head to tinyurl.com/victimsrightsreview to complete the survey or make a submission.
Consultation closes: 5pm 18 March 2026.
