QUEENSLAND YOUTH WEEK

Queensland Youth Week returns from Saturday 11 April to Sunday 19 April 2026, inviting communities across the state to celebrate the creativity, achievements and contributions of young people aged 12 to 25 years. Queensland Youth Week shines a spotlight on the positive impact young Queenslanders make in their communities, across the state and beyond.

State Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, encourages local youth to get involved: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to become involved in their community. It allows for creativity, participation, and recognises the leadership and skills of our upcoming generation.”

This year’s Queensland Youth Week offers opportunities for community groups, councils and individuals to be involved through:

  • Youth Week Grants – Grants of up to $10,000 (inclusive of GST) are available to support youth-led events and activities that create memorable experiences for young people across Queensland.
  • Digital Art Competition – Queensland’s young creatives are invited to enter the Youth Week Digital Art Competition to showcase their artistic talent. Submissions will celebrate the spirit and achievements of young Queenslanders, and the winning artwork will be featured in promotions for future Youth Week celebrations.

Queensland Youth Week not only celebrates young people’s achievements but also supports their voice in shaping programs, services and policies that affect their lives.
