The LNP Government is delivering cost relief for Scenic Rim irrigators though a new 15 per cent Irrigation Pricing Rebate Scheme.
It has allocated a total of $25.3 million to provide rebates to eligible Queensland businesses on water bills issued by Seqwater and Sunwater in relation to the 2025-26 and 2026-27 financial years.
The 15 per cent rebate will support owner-operated businesses that use water for irrigation and earn primary production income.
Minister for Water, Ann Leahy, said it would help make water more affordable for irrigators.
“We’re listening to industry and making sure pricing is sustainable and sensible,” she said.
Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, said: “This is a win for the region, and delivers direct cost-of living relief where it counts.”
The rebate scheme is being administered by the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA).
Applications are now open and close on 31 December 2025.
