It was a great pleasure to congratulate and welcome the newest graduates of the Queensland Fire and Rescue Auxiliary firefighter program at a ceremony held in Beaudesert on 14 November.
The eleven graduates, who successfully completed the Auxiliary Recruit Training and Education Program, included candidates from Kooralbyn, Jimboomba, Harrisville, Kalbar, Esk, Crow’s Nest, and Toogoolawah fire and rescue stations. Of the eleven graduates, eight will be stationed across the Scenic Rim.
Mr Krause said the new auxiliary firefighters came from a diverse range of backgrounds and professions.
“It takes a special kind of person to raise their hand for this role. To train, respond, and serve while also managing other work commitments and family life is no small feat.
“Their willingness to contribute in this way speaks volumes about their character and commitment to their communities.”
