STUDENTS SPEND BUDGET DAY VISITING PARLIAMENT HOUSE

Tamborine Mountain State High School captains, Maeve Rodriguez (left) and Ella Parker, were among 50 students from across the State who spent Budget Day at Parliament House.

They met with Premier David Crisafulli and Ministers, engaged in interactive workshops, undertook behind-the-scenes tours, and from the public gallery in the Legislative Assembly, observed the Budget being delivered.

Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, who gave a special welcome to the Tamborine Mountain students, said their experience at Parliament House would give them valuable insights into the Budget process.

“It was great to catch up with Maeve and Ella as they took part in their behind-the-scenes tour of Parliament,” he said.

“And it was pleasing to see our next generation of leaders from the Scenic Rim actively engage with our democratic process and the decisions that will shape their future.”
