Three organisations in the Scenic Rim electorate been awarded Queensland Government grants to support local initiatives during this year’s Mental Health Week.
A total of $150,000 in grants has been awarded to support more than 150 community-led activities and events throughout the State.
The grants – ranging from $500 to $2000 – support initiatives that promote mental wellbeing, reduce stigma and encourage people to seek help when they need it.
These initiatives include wellbeing expos, art exhibitions, workshops, festivals and morning teas.
Scenic Rim organisations to receive grants are:
- Boonah State High School P&C Association
- Carinity Fassifern, and
- Gleneagle Primary P&C Association
Mental Health Week runs from October 4 to 12.
