Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, in welcoming Queensland Government funding of $800,000 to the 4 Aussie Heroes Foundation retreat at Limestone Ridges, described it as a truly inspirational undertaking.
“The rehabilitation retreat will have a positive and life enhancing impact on those military and first responder personnel who are struggling and suffering as a result of their service to our nation and our communities,” he said.
“It is fittingly named Camp Courage, reflecting the courage they have demonstrated in the past and the courage they are now displaying in confronting challenging health and wellbeing issues in their lives, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related mental health conditions.
“The Government commitment will allow final construction work at the purpose-built facility to be completed.”
