The Queensland Government has committed $5.6 million for a major upgrade to the intersection of Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road and Mundoolun Connection Road.
The improvement works will include the installation of traffic lights, a channelised left-turn lane from Mundoolun Connection Road onto Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road, central medians to separate the traffic, increased warning signage and major surface resealing.
The project will also feature improvements around the school bus stops on Mundoolun Connection Road.
Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, welcomed the investment in improving roads in the Scenic Rim Electorate.
“I continue to advocate for more improvement works right across the region – I know there’s a lot to be done.”
The project is currently in its detailed design phase and works are set to begin in late 2025.
