The Kalbar Show Society Showgrounds is a huge asset to the Kalbar and broader Fassifern community.
The annual show, Australia Day events, the Super Bull events, hosting the Fassifern Men’s Shed as well as a busy caravan park for tourists visiting the area.
I recently caught up with Neil Goetsch to announce that, if elected, an LNP Government will commit $150,000 to finishing the lighting project on the Kalbar Showgrounds ring.
Some years ago the existing lights were funded through the support of Scott Buchholz MP, but lighting the entire ring will enable a greater scope of night activities for the annual show and also a broader range of other events to be held on the grounds.
The committee are very proactive in seeking to better their grounds for community use, and also in seeking grant funding and support from local businesses and individuals to offset the costs. Well done to the committee, and I look forward to helping build a better showgrounds in the future.
