Congratulations to Veresdale Scrub State School which has just celebrated the 125th anniversary of its opening on April 25, 1899.
I was privileged to join past students, teachers, principals and community members as they enthusiastically commemorated their milestone event on April 27.
The school which now has an enrolment of 107 began with just one classroom and 32 pupils.
