SECURITY HELP FOR SMALL BUSINESS

Sixty-two small and family businesses in Queensland have been awarded security funding by the Queensland Government to help them implement crime prevention measures including bollards, secure fencing and CCTV.

The funding is being provided by the $40 million current round of the Government’s Secure Communities Partnership Program.

This follows the success of the first round which saw $9.6 million awarded for 42 projects delivered in partnership with local councils to improve safety and security for local small business.

The current round of funding for small and family businesses is open for application until 30 June or until funding is fully allocated.
