Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, has encouraged grassroots sporting clubs to apply for a share of the $30 million funding now available in the second round of the LNP Games On! program.
Games On! supports eligible clubs to deliver infrastructure improvements in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond, to ensure local communities see real and lasting benefits.
The first round of the program has already supported 119 projects from across Queensland.
Mr Krause said applications were now open and would close on March 18 under two categories:
Games On! ‘Field of Play – $20 million of available funding focussing on smaller, community-level infrastructure projects that enhance participation opportunities and upgrade amenities.
Games On! ‘Partnership Fund’ – $10 million of available funding for new larger-scale infrastructure projects or upgraded and re-developed precincts.
