More than $16 million in grants will be awarded to 630 Queensland organisations and clubs through Round 122 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants.
This round broke records in the program’s 31-year history, with more than 2000 applications submitted state-wide.
The program provides benefits and key services to Queensland communities, including facility and accessibility improvements, medical equipment, transportation support, leisure and sporting equipment, and domestic and family violence initiatives.
Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, commended successful groups in the electorate that will share in $355,577 funding.
“It is wonderful to see that these community groups will be able to install and upgrade facilities to help them to maintain their services,” he said.
Since he was elected, organisations in Scenic Rim have received $15,046,783 from the fund.
Applications for Round 124 – a Super Round with grants of up to $100,000 – close on June 9. To apply, visit www.justice.qld.gov.au/grants. For more information, contact Jon Krause’s office via email: scenicrim@parliament.qld.gov.au, or phone (07) 5515 1100.
