The LNP Government is providing immediate funding support for sporting and recreation organisations affected by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Grants of up to $5000 are available to help eligible not-for-profit organisations in disaster-declared areas to help with immediate clean-up and repairs.
State Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, said that many sporting clubs sustained significant damage in ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, and may not have funds in the bank to replace damaged equipment, pay for clean-up costs and cover insurance excess.
“This funding will enable organisations to get back on their feet so Queenslanders can get back to participating in the sports and recreational activities that they enjoy,” he said.
