Queenslanders are being urged to give blood and plasma as part of critical recovery efforts in the aftermath of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
More than 20 blood donation centres across Queensland and New South Wales were forced to shut as residents braced for the severe weather event.
Due to their closure, there was a shortfall of 1000 blood and plasma donations a day.
