Grant Win for Boonah Barracudas

It might sound simple, but the new pool covers for the Boonah Pool are going to help save water, energy and money. Not to mention it’s going to make the job easier to get the pool ready for locals to enjoy.

The new covers were purchased courtesy of a $34,000 grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund applied for by the Boonah Barracudas Swim Club which I was happy to support.

It was great to talk to Ben Service about how the new covers will help the club better serve their swimmers.

Since I was first elected as your representative in 2012, Scenic Rim community organisations have received more than $13 million worth of funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

Round 122 of the GCBF is currently open and closes on 30 November – if your community group would like a reference or letter of support for your application, please contact the Scenic Rim Electorate office and I would be happy to supply it for you.
