Scenic Rim on Show at 2024 Ekka

This year’s Ekka showcased the vibrant community spirit of the Scenic Rim, with many locals actively participating.

Richard Christensen contributed to the gardening and floral sections, while Neil Goetsch assisted with stewarding prime beef. Murray Dover supported eastAUSmilk and Dairy Australia, and Imbibis Craft Distillery and David Spann were also present, along with Darren Zanow MP from Ipswich Show.

I had the opportunity to assist at the LNP stand, engaging with visitors about their Queensland priorities. With less than 100 days until the election, we’re gearing up for change!

Congratulations to Beaudesert’s Ella Bischoff for being the runner-up in the Queensland Country Life Showgirl competition and to Sarah Thorpe for her role as Beaudesert Rural Ambassador. Well done also to the Beaudesert Show Ambassadors for their ongoing support of young talents in the show scene.

The cattle showing was a highlight, with strong representation from the Scenic Rim. Special thanks to Beaudesert State High School’s cattle team and Boonah State High School’s Cattle Club for their impressive participation. As always, Neil Goetsch from Goetsch & Sons was a familiar face stewarding the event. Well done to all involved!
