It was a pleasure to join Judi and Bob Minnikin as they celebrated the rebranding of their renowned Cedar Creek Lodges to Tamborine Mountain Glades.
Theirs is one of the great success stories of the Australian tourism industry.
Some 25 years ago they acquired Cedar Creek Lodges, a then struggling accommodation, wedding and conference business in the foothills of Tamborine Mountain.
Through vision, hard work, and determination they transformed it and adjoining adventure playground Thunderbird Park into one of the nation’s outstanding tourism destinations.
More than 200,000 people visit the popular Scenic Rim location each year.
