Saturday 3 August marked a significant milestone for our town as Beaudesert celebrated its 150th anniversary since the first town block was surveyed and sold. This special occasion, organised by the dedicated Beaudesert 150th – B150 committee, was a testament to our community’s rich history and vibrant spirit.
The event took place at The Centre, where an array of historical exhibits brought the town’s past to life. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the stories and artifacts that have shaped Beaudesert over the decades.
The evening featured a charity auction in support of Farm Angels, formerly known as Drought Angels. This initiative aims to assist those in need within the farming community.
Old friends reunited, and both longtime residents and newcomers came together to celebrate. The local band Wilson Street provided lively entertainment, adding to the festive atmosphere. It was heartening to see people come together to honour Beaudesert’s heritage and contribute to a worthy cause.
Here’s to another 150 years of community, history, and growth in Beaudesert!
