“The Scenic Rim certainly has some of Queensland’s best and brightest young people, something I see not only through our Youth Parliamentarians, but through every visit to local schools to hear about their achievements, and what many go ahead with after leaving school – in work, training or study.
YMCA Youth Parliament is a tremendous way for young people to learn about how our Queensland system of government works.
As a local MP, it is always rewarding to sit down and here from our local Youth MPs about their views on issues, and how the Youth Parliament experience is for them.
Well done to Bill for his application and diligence in his role as the Youth Member for Scenic Rim. I am sure the remainder of his time in the YMCA Youth Parliament will be rewarding for him, and I certainly encourage others in our region to apply for next year’s Youth Parliament.”
