Ambulance Ramping in Queensland

Queensland Labor has let ambulance ramping and emergency room wait times spiral out of control. Ipswich Hospital continues to be the epicentre of the ramping crisis with over 50% of ambulances regularly waiting longer than the recommended time to off-load patients. Patients in Logan are sometimes waiting on stretchers for nearly 11 hours to get into the hospital and see a doctor.

This disgraceful situation is not the fault of Queensland’s hardworking doctors, nurses, and paramedics. Rather, Labor has allowed this to occur under an overstretched, under-resourced, and neglected hospital system. As a result, families across the state have lost loved ones on ambulance stretchers waiting to be seen by doctors.

Having taken the time to speak to locals, I know that access to health services is a priority to you. Queenslanders deserve a government who has the Right Priorities for Queensland’s future. That is why I will continue to fight to decrease hospital staff shortages, reduce ambulance ramping, and decrease emergency room wait times.

Our priorities to deliver easier access to health services:
