Scenic Rim Grant Success for Eight Organisations

State Member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, said eight not-for-profit organisations in the Electorate had received a total of $103,522 in funding grants from Round 118 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. 

The grants ranged from $2995 to $34,881. 

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund, which is administered by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, is Queensland’s largest one-off grants program.

It provides grants to organisations to enhance their capacity to provide services, leisure activities and economic opportunities for their local communities. 

Since Mr Krause’s election in 2012 Scenic Rim community organisations have received funding of more than $13 million from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. 

The successful organisations in Round 118 were: 

Boonah Working Stock Dog Club ($3520 to purchase equipment)

Beaudesert Community Arts and Information Centre Association ($15,000 to repair roof)

Canungra Men’s Shed Incorporated ($22,000 to construct driveway and outdoor shaded area with disability access)

Milbong and District Classic Tractor Club ($2995 to purchase defibrillator)

Rathdowney Area Development and Historical Association ($9300 to paint building exterior)

Roadvale School of Arts ($34,881 to upgrade facility)

Scenic Rim Writers Inc ($7271 to design and print book)

Warrill View State School Parents and Citizens Association ($8554 to upgrade playground softfall)
