I recently had the opportunity to inspect progress on construction of the pilot water treatment plant at Cedar Grove that will play a key role in connecting Wyaralong Dam to the SEQ Water Grid.
The pilot plant, located near the Cedar Grove Weir, will treat water from Wyaralong Dam which flows to the weir via the Teviot Brook and the Logan River.
When fully operational, it will provide valuable water quality data to assist in the design and treatment process of the future Wyaralong Water Treatment Plant which will connect to the $95 million South West Pipeline.
The pipeline, which will connect Beaudesert to the SEQ Water Grid, is now 90 per cent complete.
Construction works are being undertaken by Enviropacific Services.
