Blitz Heralds One Year to Next State Election

“The hardworking men and women of the Scenic Rim Electorate deserve better than the tired, out of touch Labor Government.”

That was the thrust of State Member Jon Krause’s message during campaigning in the electorate and at a community function in Kalbar that he co-hosted with LNP Senator Susan McDonald.

He reminded everyone at the Kalbar function that there was just one year until the next State election on 28 October and echoed LNP Leader David Crisfulli’s call to “show Labor the door in ‘24.”

“The Scenic Rim Electorate knows only too well the neglect by the State Government of its roads, health services and agricultural sector,” Mr Krause said.

“We need a change in government to get the priorities right.”

David Crisafulli has launched a statewide blitz to share the LNP’s blueprint for Queensland with communities across every corner of the State.

The LNP has been out in force listening to Queenslanders and sharing the LNP’s Right Priorities for Queensland’s Future.

MPs, candidates and a sea of supporters have hit the road in a mass doorknocking campaign, road-siding, letterboxing, phone canvassing and attending community events.

“We’ve been listening to Queenslanders who tell us their priorities are cost-of-living, housing, youth crime and health – which is why these are also our priorities,” Mr Crisafulli said.

The five areas of focus in the LNP’s Right Priorities for Queensland’s Future are:

  • Making our community safer
  • Easier access to health services
  • Saving you paying for Labor’s failures
  • Securing our housing foundations
  • Working harder for Queenslanders

Mr Crisafulli said the LNP blitz kick-started the countdown until Queenslanders could show Labor the door in ’24.

“We’re hitting the road to share our blueprint for Queensland’s future and listen to Queenslanders’ experiences with the Queensland health crisis, the Queensland housing crisis, the Queensland youth crime crisis and the cost-of-living crisis,” he said.

“We’ve laid out our priorities for Queensland, we’re focused on the issues that matter most to Queenslanders and have put solutions on the table.

“After nearly a decade in office, Labor has stopped listening to Queenslanders and now with 12 months to go until the next election, only the LNP has the right priorities for Queensland’s future.”
