Time Still to Seek Gambling Community Benefit Funding

State member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, said there was still time to submit applications in Round 119 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

“The closure date is midnight on 7 November and applications can be submitted for funding between a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $35,000,” he said.

The fund is Queensland’s largest one-off grants program, distributing approximately $53 million per year to Queensland communities and is administered by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
Its objective is to allocate funding to not-for-profit community groups to enhance their capacity to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.

Since Mr Krause’s election in 2012 Scenic Rim community organisations have received funding of $12,984,388 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
