In Round 2, 20 community groups in the Scenic Rim Electorate will share in $40,000 of grant funding awarded through the Activate! Queensland 2019-2029 Active Clubs program.
Over 25 million dollars has now been allocated to community groups in the Scenic Rim Electorate through various grants since State Member, Jon Krause, was elected in 2012.
Mr Krause said that sporting and active recreation groups will benefit from the Active Club grants as support is provided to volunteers and towards flexible and safe physical activity opportunities to increase sport and recreation participation.
“This terrific outcome would not have occurred without many hardworking volunteers giving their time and energy to complete the grant application process.”
“I commend these groups for the wonderful work they do and encourage other community groups to apply for the next round,” Mr Krause said.
